I’m interested in how people learn, reason about, and use abstractions. Abstractions often play a deep role in mathematics and computer science. Given that they deeply underlie many of the cool things people are capable of, it’s important to more deeply understand how they work to make it easier for more people to appreciate their depth. I also care deeply about science communication, education, and getting people to engage more deeply with the world around them.
